The Homie Front Community Network is holding a host of hangs this summer, and you’re invited! Bonfire Wednesdays and Office Hours / Art Hangs are happening weekly. Bonfire Wednesdays change locations every week. Facilitated in partnership with a cohort of community minded artists, these events feature pot-luck style campfire meals, a range of ThF instigated games, and excellent conversation. ThF Office Hours happen on Sundays. Hosted in partnership with The Bat Cave’s weekly art-hang, this activity serves as an open invitation to talk shop about team and systems building, contribute insight, and work on art in a community environment.

By September 2026 The Homie Front Community Network will have:

• Formalized roles and operating procedures into a Board Run LLC that functions to facilitate opportunities for artists that support the structural necessities of creative lives while building inter-community wealth. With space for emergence, Foundational Cohort roles include Artistic, Managing, and Communications Directors (Board of the LLC), and a cohort of 3-7 Artist-Educators (Ambassadors of The Homie Front and members of the LLC).

• Codified ThF’s internal operating systems, strategic plan, community engagement plan, and funding strategy.

• Secured fiscal sponsorship and funding for operational costs during the 2026/27 academic year.

• Generated materials that clearly demonstrate the effectiveness of ThF’s play-based engagement strategies.

• Hosted 27 play-focused events for artists, educators, and creative place-makers and reported on the activities, connections, and community cultivated through these activities.

Summer 2026 is sure to be filled with friendship and laughter. ThF’s Summer Open House is June 14th from 3 - 6 pm at the Ivy Arts Building. We’d love to see you there.
